About WREI The
mission of the Women's Research & Education Institute (WREI) is
to identify issues affecting women in their roles in the family, workplace
and public arena and to inform and help shape the public policy debate
on these issues. Founded in 1977, WREI is an independent, non-profit
(501[c][3]), nonpartisan organization governed by a board of directors
that includes leading Americans from many fields who are committed to
equality for women.
